Lee glanced at the note and blanched. He folded it quickly between his fingers, but he was sure that Gaeta had seen it-- both from the sudden tightness of the other man's expression and from the fact that it seemed Felix Gaeta rarely missed anything that went on aboard Galactica. He gave his wife a weary, but genuine smile. "Only that I'm going to have to murder her the next chance I get," he replied.
In the next two seconds, the Commander of the ship considered dozens of paths to take, all of them including attempts to stay as little in trouble himself as humanly possible. He could, of course, lie to Dee and tell her that he was clueless on the matter, but that would evaporate as soon as they talked to Anne, and he'd be in even deeper. Knowing he had to tell his wife, Lee considered asking her to go back to their quarters for privacy, but that was at least a ten minute walk from CIC.
He inclined his head toward a quiet rear station, a large bank of systems that usually went unmanned during normal operations. Lee recalled his father and President Roslin having many hushed conversations in that area, and he led Dee there. "I found out recently that Anne hasn't been... entirely honest with us."
