Karen's actually doing pretty well. Two jobs keep her busy enough that she doesn't have too much time to dwell on the things that aren't going so well. (Like her social life, for one.) Her sleep's been a little better since Ivy helped her out. All in all, things are looking up.
This means that when she approaches the drug store today, she's actually sort of smiling. The pack of what appear to be teenagers, however, puts her a little on the defensive. So Molly's likely to get a terse little nod of the head if they make eye contact at all, even if it does look to Karen as if Molly doesn't belong with this crowd.
