There always had been something too familiar about Mr. Madison. Something that put Meghan at ease when she'd rather not be, something that made her look up to him when she would much rather jut fade into the background and not care. She'd classified it as a crush, even though that wasn't quite it, simply because she couldn't think of the right term for it. Kind of more like that hero worship you got for a cool older cousin or something.
"Time for a change," she said, coloring faintly that he'd even noticed, much less remembered what color it'd been before. Meg shook his hand, feeling awkward, before gesturing in to the worn out couch. "Want to have a seat?"
