Loitering (Open RP)
Eventually, Oliver was sure, his mother would remember to pick him up.
This happened a lot more often than he would like. He went to school, missed the bus home, called his mother to come get her to pick him up, and she promptly forgot. Oliver blamed that on the alcohol that she downed like water, but he supposed it wasn't really her fault. She had good reasons to be drinking. Hey, if he was the legal drinking age, he'd probably be drinking too.
So Oliver couldn't really hold it against her. It meant that he'd have to wait a few hours before he could get home - he plans for times like this. Staying on the main road in town was probably a good idea, because he didn't want to get mugged or murdered. This new Of The Lake place looked secure enough, like a place that people didn't get mugged outside of.
Checking his phone for the time, Oliver gave up searching for a bench and settled down to sit against the wall of the store. His backpack was placed next to him, shoved up against his side to hopefully dissaude people from pinching it. Next to him, he could hear music playing, and what smelled like baking happening. Well, baking, and the occasional touch of burn. Still, Oliver was pretty impressed. He burned water whenever he tried to cook.
Damn it, and he was missing a scheduled raid in his guild. How was he supposed to get his tier six gear for his warlock character now?
He'd just stay here for a few hours. It would be fine.
Hunching further into his hoodie for warmth, Oliver absently toyed with his cellphone, bored, and debating the idea of downloading tetris onto it. At least that would give him something to do.
