That felt better, somehow, and Lexi just put it down to not knowing how people in a tiny town would feel about two women spending the night together. Besides, not moving from this bed, as far from luxurious as it was, seemed a very good option. Lexi nodded, stretching her legs with a yawn and tugging Elaine down to lay next to her. Lexi pillowed her head on the other woman's shoulder, bringing their joined hands up to press her lips to Elaine's knuckles.
"Here is good," she agreed sleepily. It occurred to her that, unlike herself, Elaine might have people looking for her. People who would want to know where she had gone. But she was hardly the girl's guardian; a grown woman could decide where she spent the night.
