The intensity surprised her, and Lexi half made as if to move away before the momentum was arrested and she was kissing back again. It was a depth, a raw hunger, that Lexi honestly hadn't experienced before. For all the people she'd been with, all the crushes and the half-formed loves, she'd not felt something like this. Elaine was kissing her like the earth might move, and Lexi was swept off into it.
Brushing the tears away with her thumbs, Lexi pressed her lips to Elaine's cheeks, where the trails had been left behind. Then they were kissing again, Lexi's arms wrapping tightly around Elaine, a low sound getting lost somewhere between them.
They needed to not be on some side street. Lexi had no idea where they'd go, but it definitely needed to not be here.
