Anaïs kissed him back, ignoring the awkward shuffle of one of the maids behind her. "You're most welcome, mon amour. I will pass on your thanks to the newest members of Papa's council" she smiled, watching as the puppy made the side-table rock with a thump of his tail.
"Incidentally, he doesn't have a name yet, so that's up to you" she added, picking up the fallen leaflets from her reject pile, as deposed by the puppy, and crossing to the fireplace to throw them on the low flame.
