If there was one thing that always cleared Rory's mind, it was a walk. Whether it be along the beach at home or through the property on the Reserve here in Snowcap, a nice walk through whatever nature was nearby was something that cleared her mind when it was on overload and calmed her.
Big changes had happened in Rory's life this month, but she was trying to take them in stride. She hadn't succeeded in everything, but damn if she wasn't trying. She thought she was doing an alright job, all things considered.
She'd also continued to do the research and test out her abilities when it came to her heritage and everything Angelyka had clued her in on. Extensive research into the abilities themselves instead of the possibility of a halfling having them. From there, she'd started figuring out what she could and couldn't do. Between work hours and during breaks, there had been practice and experimentation. Whatever it took to figure out what she was capable of and what she wasn't. And she was far more knowledgable now than she had been before Thorne helped her.
As far as Rory saw it, she owed a lot to Thorne.
And there was still so much more to accomplish. To explore. And a whole other goal to reach in terms of what she wanted to accomplish. The animagus thing was still on the table and that was her next project once she'd maxed out what she could learn about herself and her abilities as a Veela. She couldn't wait to find out what the culmination of that was. Maybe in the process, she'd find out even more about herself.
As she breathed in the crisp, chilly air, Rory couldn't help but turn the recent events over in her mind. Everything from her acceptance of the job here to the loss of something she hadn't been expecting to lose any time soon.
Rory couldn't help but smile at the thought of that one.
But soon enough, her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a stick being stepped on nearby and that had the little blonde turning curiously to see who had joined her in this little nature walk of hers. Anyone would be welcome, more than likely.
