"You're welcome to join me and Atlas in the mornings if you want. At least until you learn the trail yourself." Or longer. A little eye candy first thing in the morning was never a bad thing. And he certainly was eye candy.
"Best one to run along. Sometimes there are other people on it. No one really bothers anyone other than to say hi normally." At least, they hadn't bothered her. Then again, she did always have a chest high dog that could probably be mistaken for a legendary Pokemon. That could be somewhat intimidating. "Lends a pretty good view too in a lot of spots." Like the one they were coming up to, a little higher up on Reserve lands.
Once they'd reached it, Ash came to a stop to pull her water bottle from the pack around her waist and drink from it. Once she'd had her fill, she held it out to him and shrugged at his question. "Not really. I was a stupid kid following an even stupider kid. Got put down. Someone saved me but after I woke up in the med ward, the healers and nurses were all too worried about the outcome of the accident to remember who brought me in."
She'd tried to get a name, but the nurse that was on duty the night was on her last night in that ward. Coincidences could sometimes be a bitch.
