Re: Fri, 4/19 - Nat & Tony
Nat sat up a little higher, ignoring that woozy feeling that came with not having the immediate support of her pillows. She looked between the healer and her brother. "What do you mean? I thought the whole point of testing Tony was to approximate my baseline without the baby. How can it...."
"Be the same?" the healer finished. His face was sympathetic, but otherwise didn't reveal much. "At the moment, it's inconclusive. It's entirely possible that the things we've been measuring are not actually the problem, but perhaps the symptom of a different factor. The lab is running another series of spells as we speak. I've also been in contact with a couple of experts in cross-breed biology, and they'll be in tomorrow." He put a hand on Nat's shoulder. "We're going to figure this out. Don't worry. Try to get some rest." He nodded at Tony and then slipped out of the room.
"I have no idea what's going on anymore," Nat said, sagging back against her pillows and closing her eyes. "I know this isn't common, exactly, but it's not that strange. This can't be the only one-quarter Selkie baby in the last decade."
