briarrose It SHOULD be, but that's part of the issue, isn't it? It should be, but it's not. Even with the thought of God and a reward or punishment, people are still cruel or unkind or selfish or greedy. People are still infallible. It's highly plausible that there is, indeed, a God; that Jesus actually did exist, and spread the word only for mankind to completely ignore what was actually said. How can we prove whether it was truth or fiction when we have inconclusive evidence for either argument? It's really a no-win debate. What it essentially boils down to is that if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do, which can be taken in either context of believing or disbelieving, couldn't it?
