"Oh for fuck's sake." Thorne took off his glasses, cleaned them on the hem of his shirt and put them back on. Yep, the crazy girl with no shoes was still giggling like a loon. "Not Ford. First of all, I'm wearing glasses when he isn't. Second of all, my hair is shorter than his. Third of all, we don't even sound the same. Fourth, he's currently in Medical and there is no fucking way Strand is going to let me break him out again." Though damn, that was a really good idea on his part. Ford high as a kite on edibles was fucking hilarious.
You know what was not hilarious? A crazy girl in the middle of the path without shoes. Something in the way she laughed told him that it was likely not due to a natural inclination. He really couldn't just leave her here. He'd developed some sort of conscience. How revolting.
"The clouds look like they're about to rain at any moment." Thorne looked up. It wasn't exactly true, but it didn't have to be false either. Hopefully, she was high enough to not be able to tell the difference. "Which way is home? You don't want to walk back home barefoot in the mud. As someone who has done it, zero out of ten, I don't recommend."
