"Umm, I'm pretty sure this is maybe only 10% my fault, and that much is because I'm crap at running and Loki is fast anyway." Still, Ford walked as close to the dogs as he could get without Loki bounding away gleefully, and then sat down cross-legged on the grass. He looked up at Gigi with one eyebrow raised, then looked at the ground. "You should sit, too. Probably should have tried this first, but he surprised me too much when he ran off."
While he was waiting for the inevitable reaction from the dog, he was also doing his best to not think about the contents of that package. Mostly because he still wasn't quite sure what it was, beyond mortifying. After a minute, Loki came trotting up, nudging Ford's arm with his...toy and whining for Ford to play. That was when having quick reflexes was actually an asset, rather than something that contributed to his terrible coordination, and he got his hand on the dog's collar before he could sprint away again. "Sit." Loki complied. "Drop it." That one took a little more staring, but finally the item fell to the ground. Ford stared at it for a moment before saying, "I really, really don't want to know what that is."
