Rory nodded. "Patience," she confirmed, with a nod. "There's often times that ya won't catch much a' nothin'. But then ya get that one bite an' ya set the hook, an' it's the best feelin' in the world." It was a feeling of accomplishment. That one could survive if need be... even if it wasn't exactly like surviving as No-Majs would have and whatnot.
"I'll keep an eye on Loki. You keep an eye on that line." She could see that the other woman was worried about the dog wandering off too far, so Rory sat down at the side of the tree and called to the dog.
When the dog came to her, she grinned and reached out to scratch him behind the ears, letting him lick at her face and actually laughing for the first time since Andi had shown up.
