Re: 8:30pm - Andi & Ford
Ford had to force himself not to answer that one off the cuff, because the first thing that popped into his head wasn't exactly complimentary, and he didn't want to give Andi the wrong impression. Or, probably he didn't want to give her the right one, either, in this case. "His hair is shorter. And I imagine he'll be dressed less...elaborately. And the way we talk is different. We have different accents."
He smiled at the idea of seeing unicorns and wondered idly if that was part of the Reserve tour that he still theoretically needed to schedule with Rory one of these days, or if this was and extra special up close thing. "Parents?" He waved a hand and shook his head. "No, sorry, none of my business. It's just, overprotective parents is sort of my lot. Not that they don't mean well, but...."
Ford leaned a little against the table, testing how steady it was before he put more of his weight on it. Somehow, he was already getting tired, but he was determined to enjoy himself tonight. "Inarticulate," he corrected automatically, but at least had the decency to look sheepish afterward. "Thanks. It's just different, you know, talking to people without a script." He laughed again at that, still rather sheepish. "It's called My Cross to Bear. It's a day in the life of a vampire, talking about mundane things, but also the important ones. Social injustices, opportunities for education, battles worth being fought. But tonight's supposed to be fun, right? So I'll try to stay off my soapbox."
