8:30 ᴘᴍ :: ᴀsʜ + ᴋɪᴇʀᴀɴ When Kieran showed up to the house to pick her up as agreed, Ash was ready to go. Her hair was in place, her rarely-used make-up perfect, her coat hiding her dress - for reasons - and her mask in over her dark eyes. She wanted to surprise her... date. Even now, the word sounded so odd in her thoughts, much less on her tongue.
The walk had been a nice one. She lived close to the Reserve anyway so there hadn't been any need for any other transportation. Besides, she enjoyed walking. The fresh air always gave her a sense of calm, even knowing that she was walking next to a man who, once a month, turned into the very thing that terrified her.
When he'd told his story at the meeting two weeks ago, Ash had easily put the pieces together. She already knew that she used to run with his brother and his friends in school. And she knew that someone had brought her to the medical ward when she'd been attacked. Now she knew who (he'd confirmed it when she asked him) and she knew why he was the way she was. That was what made her decide to deal with these issues she had - both with werewolves and with the dating thing. She could give it a shot. Kieran deserved a whole lot more than that for allowing her to be with her brother when their parents passed.
Upon arriving at the masquerade, Ash looked around with a grin and slipped out of her coat, handing it to the coat check. It was the first time Kieran was getting to see her dress, and she hoped it knocked him right out of his socks. And shoes, for that matter. After all, she'd spent a lot of time trying to find the perfect dress for this occasion. She didn't normally dress like this and Kieran had only seen her in her jogging clothes and in her uniform. Might as well show him that she could rock this look as well. Ash was pretty sure other people would be shocked too.
But still, the thoughts of security were never far from her mind. Her eyes roamed over everything and everyone. From the band members,to the brunettedressed in darkblue who seemed to be already schmoozing with people around her, to those she actually knew and could identify even with their masks on. Tonight was going to be either a shit show or a damn good night. She hoped it was the latter.
