Who: Ginger Fitzgerald and Paul What: Exploring Where: Apartment building roof When: Feb 10; 2am Status: Complete! Rating: PG-13 for swearing at least, some violence.
Ginger hated being trapped and that was exactly how she felt at the moment. Waking up to discover she had been brought to Las Vegas had been a big shock for the redhead but then discovering she was in a zombie infested Las Vegas was almost too much. She had scanned through that network system on her laptop and even flicked on the tv to check out the news just to try and figure out what was happening.
Through it all Ginger figured that the whole city was pretty fucked at this point and that had scared Ginger. The only thing she hated more than feeling trapped was feeling afraid. Being afraid made her feel weak, pathetic and disgusted. Especially after Ginger locked her apartment door and barricaded herself in after searching the kitchen for a knife. Some big bad werewolf she was! Still, it would take a few hours for her self-disgust to overwhelm the fear but finally Ginger decided to venture outside her apartment. She wasn’t quite ready to venture outside the building yet. That would a goal she’d have to work up to but in the meanwhile, Ginger set about wandering through the building.
It was a nice looking spot, swanky but sort of boring since all the halls looked the same. Ginger eventually made her was up the staircase to the rooftop where she stepped out and saw the pool. “Great, at least we can still go swimming during the apocalypse”, Ginger muttered sarcastically. It was an overcast night, clouds obscuring the stars and the moon she noticed as she walked over to railing on the ledge of the building.
Funny how she never gave two shits about looking at the moon and now she was always checking sky. Not that she really needed to since her own body gave enough clues as to when the change was coming. Ginger picked absentmindedly at her nails as she stared out over the cityscape. From this height it almost seemed peaceful, as long as Ginger didn’t look down for too long at the madness in the streets. She was contemplating her situation when Ginger realized she was no longer alone. Turning sideways, Ginger looked at the other person and considered ignoring them. It was what she usually did in most situations but tonight Ginger found herself greeting the stranger. “Hey”, she said simply as she leaned on the railing. “Hell of a night, huh?”
