Who: Virgil (Static) and Angelus.
What: KIDNAPPING AND BAD THINGS!! No really. Virgil finds Angelus snacking on some NPC victim.
When:TONIGHT (May 27th)
Where: the streets!
Warnings: IT'S KIDNAPPING BY A CRAZY VIOLENT VAMPIRE, IT WON'T END WELL! but for who, oooh.

Before the movies Virgil knew he had to patrol. Well technically he didn't have too, but the super hero in him wouldn't allow him to blow it off and act normal. Not even for one night. Virgil Hawkins defied normal on a regular basis anyway, why start now? He was a super hero at heart. The youngest as far as he could tell. But age didn't have anything to do with it. He had abilities that forced him to grow up faster then most teenagers. He knew how cautious he had to be. He knew how patrol worked. He'd been doing it for the past two years, and was pretty good at it by now. Normally he patrolled with Bart but the week had been uneventful in pairs and so he took a risk. He went out by himself expecting another boring and routine night in the city of lights. He was in his full Static gear. Flying above the city on a slender silver disk. All seemed normal, not even a purse snatcher. Too normal. Virgil was bored, and his gear was hot and itchy in the summer heat of the deserty Vegas strip.

Maybe he was flying to high. To far from the action to really get a good look. Yeah that had to be it. He started manipulating the static electricity that powered his disk with his gloved hands to dip a little lower and into alleys. Stuff was always happening in them. Skeevy stuff. It was Vegas after all. But really, why was it always alleys? He hated them, he was hesitant to check them out. But he had too. Thats where the crime was, and that was his job. So he lowered into them and hovered silently. His dark eyes behind his white mask searched the shadowy cracks and crevasses. They were to dark to really get a good look. Virgil held up his fingertip and a tiny spark of electricity wrapped around his index finger. Lighting the alley so he could get a better look. "I'll take scary dark holes in the wall for five hundred." He joked softly to himself to ease his nerves as he cruised through the long and cramped passage way.

These were the worst parts of patrol. Well, second to sewers. How he didn't have claustrophobia was amazing. Before he let his mind wander to far away, he stopped. There were movements up ahead, and Virgil squinted to see them in the dark. "Hey. Stop." He didn't know what was happening entirely but whatever it was couldn't have been good. "Yeah I'm talking to you, who else Stretch?" He couldn't make out the figures facial features to well, but one was stifling cries, and sounded female and the other was hunched over her.

It was just one of those days, you know? One of those long, boring days where the seconds dragged and the whole goddamn world felt thick and slow. Summer was creeping into the city, leaving little streams of sunlight to play in the cracks until late in the evening. It tainted everything, adding a cheer to crumbling corners that had no right to be anything but hopelessly grey. It was starting to make his eyes itch. Days like this, Angelus thought, you just had to get out and do something, break the mold. Or someone's skull. Either or.

Which was why he was out here now, carelessly draining the lifeblood from some two dollar prostitute in an ally. But there was no fun in it, no real chase. He wasn't even hungry. Still, a kill was a kill, and she'd screamed for him when he'd asked, sobs increasing in pitch as she'd desperately, painfully begged for his life. The whore. He should've guessed she'd be easy.

Someone, he noticed, was shouting, and for a brief moment he decided whether or not to even knowledge the speakers existence. On the one hand, they were probably going to be more of an annoyance than anything, but on the other... his focus trailed back to the woman, already dead in his arms. She'd just been so boring. Maybe if she'd done something interesting, she'd still be alive today. But probably not.

"Oh, I'm sorry," he mocked, voice still dark and heavy from his kill. "I can be just so rude sometimes. What would my mother say?" Smiling languidly, he stepped out of the shadows, letting the corpse fall unceremoniously at his feet.

He didn't get there in time. If he'd been a little faster, maybe if he hadn't said anything. Electrocute first ask questions later? That wasn't his style. But the thing that hadn't been his style, just got that poor woman killed. Virgil's mocha colored skin drained slightly in an unhealthy way. That guy was drinking blood. He wasn't a guy at all, he was a vampire. A real vampire. Virgil had seen them in movies and read about them in books but those things could have never prepared him for what he saw. The lifeless corpse on the ground made his stomach clench uncomfortably and his brows furrowed. "You killed her.." He stated looking very much like a shocked deer in headlights for a minute as he hovered on his disk and his fingertips sparked with electricity casting an ominous glow on them both. "Murderer."

He'd seen things as Static, sure. But death wasn't something he was very good at understanding and dealing with. He was still young. Fifteen years old to be exact, he hadn't even coped with the natural death of his mother. To deal with a murdering monster was something that terrified him to the core. But he knew he couldn't just let the vampire get away with what he'd done. What didn't vampires like? How could he possibly go up against one who took victims without even flinching? The spark in his hand gave him an idea. He could create artificial sunlight and buy himself a distraction if he spread out his electricity thin enough over the alley. And so without wasting time with banter and usual snark he spread his hands, the electricity forming over the alley like a net. Lighting the entire alley like a flood light.

Using the humming electricity the teenager launched himself at the vampire, some of the electricity sparking on his glove covered fists, he attacked Angelus flying head on like superman, his fists aimed at his face and chest, electricity acting like a taser gun.

Well, wasn't this just adorable. Fifteen years old and already full of that heroic spirit. The regret, the sorrow of just not quite being there in time - it was written all over this kid's face. He knew that feeling. He'd felt it so intimately as Angel, each missed opportunity for heroics another black marks on his soul. Pathetic. Remembering it now made Angelus wish he could strangle the kid where he stood, just pick him up by his jaw and hold him against the wall and squeeze, squeeze until his eyes started to pop, until his lips turned blue and -- But why just wish? "Oh stop, I'm blushing."

And then ... all that light. Not sunlight, but painful nonetheless, entreatingly bright in the gloom of the alley. He winced instinctively, a growl tearing from his throat, before recovering a moment later to see Virgil launching himself at his chest. He could've stepped aside, of course, but he had to admit, he was intrigued. Maybe today was going to more interesting than he'd thought.

He'd been expecting the pain, but this was something different. The electricity seared through him, every cell in his body dancing not only with pain by with a life he hadn't felt in hundreds of years. All that feeling, it was nothing short of erotic. Reaching out, he grabbed the little superhero and started to laugh.
