Rating: Sure there will be language. Lots and lots of colorful language!

Kobe Beef! Claudia was going to be going out to eat with the new dude and they were going to be eating Kobe Beef! She had to admit she was awfully excited about it. That and meeting Kyohei, of course. And then after that? Who knew? Maybe she'd end up dragging him out to a casino or two.

All but hopping out of the elevator, Claudia couldn't help but smile. She was going out and she was going to be having fun, dammit!Her smile faltered as a thought suddenly struck her... Hopefully dude wouldn't turn out to be a freaky totally hawt Vampire dude who was actually a chick! Zenner sucked that way. It wouldn't surprise her though if it actually happened. BUT! She was going to be positive and not think that way.

Stepping further into the lobby, she rocked forward onto the balls of her feet to see if she could see Kyohei. Not seeing him, she sighed and dropped back down, tucking her hands into the pockets of her jeans.

Although excited about FREE KOBE BEEF(capitalised in his head), Kyohei was also apprehensive about meeting Claudia. Aside from a tiny number such as the Landlady, Sunako and his roommates' girlfriends, Kyohei's experience with girls usually ended with them trying to rip off his clothes, or fainting, or something equally disconcerting. However, this girl was a Westerner, perhaps she didn't think Asian men were hot. He had heard there were different standards of beauty between East and West, and American men tended to be bulkier than Asian men.

So cautiously hopeful, Kyohei made his way to the lobby, dressed in the jeans, t-shirt and jacket he'd purchased only a few hours before. Once down there, he looked around and saw the short-haired girl rocking on her heels.

"Konbanwa Claudia-san," he greeted with a smile and a small salute as he approached her. She looked like just like she sounded and the sort he would enjoy hanging out with. Not all frills, ribbons and giggles, expecting him to go to some crappy romance film or fancy restaurant.

Thankfully, Claudia wasn't like most girls her age. She didn't fawn over the boy bands - didn't even listen to them actually, didn't get all swoony over movie stars, well most of the time, was a total geek at heart and loved video games. She totally didn't take hours doing her hair and make-up... That was all just a waste of time fro her and honestly? She'd so rather be working on something electrical.

Hearning her name, she spun around, flashing Kyohei a bright smile and waved. "Heeeeeeey! You made it!" Good! She wasn't going to end up having to eat by herself, not that she minded eating by herself, but still.

She reached up, pushing her red hair out of her eyes. "Kyohei, right? If I screwed it up, I totally blame the fact that I took Spanish in school. And seriously? The most I got out of it was Donde esta el baño?"

Her reaction relaxed Kyohei and his smile broadened. "Kobe beef is always worth making it for," his English was accented, but he wasn't terrible at it thanks to having a brainy roommate who forced him to learn the language well.

"Daij... I mean, no problem, no problem, you did okay," he gave her the thumbs up and a small shrug, showing he didn't really care that much. The fact she wasn't gushing over him was enough of a bonus. A puzzled expression crossed his face at her Spanish, which was pure gobblegook to him. "Donde esta...? Nan de? What? Is that rude?"

"I've never had Kobe beef, but I heard it's kick ass," Claudia admitted, but really... She didn't know anyone who had had it before, or anyone who had told her. "But I know it's expensive and well, anything expensive that Zenner'll end up footing the bill over is seriously worth way more than the prices the online menu showed."

She tilted her head a little to the side, still grinning. "Well no it's not. It means: where's the bathroom. So I guess if I ever get stuck in Mexico I can at least know I'll always be able to find a bathroom..." She trailed off and her nose wrinkled. "Not that it's all great. I hear the bathrooms in Mexico are pretty gnarly."

"Had it once, one of my roommates is a hotel owner's son and took us to a big hotel," Kyohei licked his lips in memory. He might like tempura shrimp a lot, but that was mainly because that dish was within his price range whereas Kobe beef was not. He grinned at the idea of their kidnappers paying the cost of their meal. "Free food always taste great anyway."

He blinked at her and then rocked back on his heels, laughing out loud. "Donde esta el baño," he mangled the Spanish quite badly and snickered. "I remember that! And 'gnarly' Mexico bathrooms," Kyohei had no idea what gnarly really meant, but concluded it must be bad. However, there was more to do than talk about languages and bathrooms. "We should go, yes?" he indicated the door. "You know the way?"

"I totally have to agree with that!" And she did! She'd had more than her share of free food... and things. But then again, that'd totally been before she'd started working at the warehouse. Artie would have kicked her butt if he'd ever thought she was up to her old habits.

Claudia laughed, looping her arm through Kyohei's. "Dude,I memorized the directions. And if I get us lost... Well I'm sure there's other expensive places to check out." Her grin grew as they began to walk toward the hotel's exit. "But don't worry, we won't get lost."

	Kyohei was slightly startled when she looped her arm through his. Again, a girl taking his arm like that without any underhand designs was a rare experience for him, so he didn't pull away but walked with her. "I am starting to like this place!" "It's not so bad. I mean it totally sucked when I wasn't able to leave the city. Not that I have yet, but I really haven't found anyone to spend a couple days outside the city limits with." Claudia explained as they walked down the strip. Apparently it was only a few minutes away from the strip, so as long as they followed the directions, Claudia was sure they would be eating Kobe Beef in no time at all.

"Uh... A little over two months." she told him, pausing for a moment to figure out exactly where they were. "So far I've been turned into a dude, thanks to Zenner and their sick experiments. It was only for a day, but oh my gawd... It was the longest day of my life."

"So you can leave? But I was told you can't," Kyohei frowned, wondering if he'd missed something when he read the original message. He had been suspicious and slightly panicked so it was possible. "If I can go, you and me can go somewhere. Maybe Japan, then you can try a real drinking place," he suggested off-handedly. It was a measure of how comfortable he was feeling with Claudia that he was making the offer.

Kyohei frowned when she mentioned the sex change. "I hope that doesn't happen again," he had no desire to be a woman, especially when he got enough attention as a man. However, all concerns were banished when he saw a sign up ahead which seemed to be just the place they were looking for. "That it?"

"Oh you can't leave the first month you're here. And then after that it's a few days at a time, but ya always gotta come back. Totally blows. I so don't wanna live in Vegas forever." Claudia told him with a very serious nod. SHe really didn't want to be in Vegas forever... She wanted to opportunity to move around as she liked.

She laughed, "Oh man, I hope not. Being a dude for one day was more than enough. Who knows what crazy crap they'll end up trying on us next time." She did not even wanna try to guess what they'd do next. Zenner tried some crazy stuff and that's all she needed to know.

Her expression brightened seeing the sign that they were indeed looking for. "Yes! Sweet! Kobe beef, here we come!" she said, quickening her pace and her all but bouncing the rest of the way to the restaurant doors.

Her enthusiasm - and his desire to eat - prompted Kyohei to join in the almost-bouncing to the door, completely banishing any concerns about not being able to leave Vegas or being turned into something weird. Those considerations could wait until after he'd stuffed his face. "Kobe beef~" he sing-songed as he opened the door for them both.

The interior and the smell of the restaurant was promising right away and Kyohei licked his lips. "You let me order, hn?" he suggested to Claudia before they were approached. "I want to test the Japanese skill."

Not to mention he missed using his native language and it was just so much easier to order.

As soon as they stepped inside the restaurant Claudia's mouth began to water. "Oh man, this place just smells good," she groaned. She was already envisioning plates upon plates of steaming, yummy, mouth watering food in front of her. She might be small, but she could chow down on some food when she got hungry - and at the moment she was starving.

She grinned, looking over at Kyohei as they were lead to a table. "Naw, I don't mind... As long as you order like one of everything."

"Only one?" he grinned and had a quick look at the menu before nodding in approval and waving over the waiter. He shot rapid, and rather slangy, Japanese at the man who was a bit confused for a moment and then startled by the amount Kyohei was ordering. Kyohei grinned and waved his black AMEX and the waiter suddenly grinned back, bowing low before leaving.

"You like beer? I ordered a pitcher of Kirin," Kyohei looked around the restaurant again and then quickly back to Claudia when a couple of women at a nearby table started staring at him.
