After a seemingly pointless attempt at finding the La Push shapeshifters on their own land, Dez followed her senses to the other shapeshifters like her who were in the area. She hadn't yet gotten a chance to speak to them, but being near them felt more comforting than being alone and hugely confused. There was no reason to believe that there was anyone after her now, and yet it was extremely difficult to get her encounter with the vampires in Africa out of her mind. So much blood, so many people dead...and all because of her. Because the two of them thought that there was something special about her. What had they said? Guard dog to a dog? Of course, she hadn't had a clue what they were referring to.
Luckily enough she came out of the encounter alive and gotten herself to Forks, Washington. And that brings us full circle. This night, she had decided to some more exploring of the town. Sitting still was pretty much impossible at this point. So she was out and about and even if it was night, there was nothing that gave her an inkling of something less than good going on. Her senses weren't picking up anything strange other than the presence of the other shapeshifters started to fade as she got farther and farther from the motel.
Dez had her hands tucked into the pockets of her jeans as she walked. Her dark hair got picked up a bit in a breeze. Looking around, she noticed that there were fewer and fewer people around as she went on. But she didn't think anything of it.
