Patrick had no clue what they were doing tonight, or if Tris was even speaking to him. After last night, he doubted it, but he was starting to learn that with Tris one could never tell. He debated for a while and then decided that there was only one way to figure out.

Tris,

I have no idea if we're still on for tonight, or if we even want to go in a place with people around. Considering our track record and last night, ~~I'm expecting lots of arguing~~ it might not be wise.

He'd been expecting ... something, and he exhaled and felt something unclench when the something turned out to be an owl. Owls he could deal with right now.

Anything else ... was questionable, given his current frame of mind.

All things considered, I'm not feeling overly social tonight. ~~Or for the next month or so, likely.~~ Probably hanging out with my mum and Sage before he heads back to school.

Maybe some other time.
