With Tristan and Relic having left the room, Eva didn't think they should go on further. Two key members of the Watchers leaving based on emotional reactions to a non-members presence - on a valid point made by another member during an important and key meeting.
And she wasn't sure just what was happening.
Eva stood up. "I think that perhaps at present I will hold on to my nomination until such a time as all of us can convene and discuss the nominations without emotional involvement. The nominee that I have in mind would likely not tolerate this sort of meeting if even council elders exhibit sarcasm to a fellow member's suggestion."
She met Isaac's eyes sadly. Eva was at a loss. She felt so much for Alana's situation and what she had done for them. But it was clear after what just happened that there were too many of them that had become very attached to the were and could not take the nomination discussion, as harsh as it had already been.
"I also think we should wait for Tristan and Relic to return before we hear any further nominations."
Eva sat down, her hands folded and the colour high on her cheeks. Her heart pounded fast in her chest with adrenaline.
Mal sighed, rubbing his thumb and forefinger together on his left hand - a sign of his stress. A mark of the stroke he had suffered in the previous year.
"I have to agree with Eva. Tristan and Relic's input in these proceedings is essential. We should wait for their return."
