Dear Corner Family,
My daughter has told me many times how kindly you treated her in the midst of our difficulties... I am only sorry that I haven't thought to do this sooner but I would love to invite you to have dinner with myself and Libra before the school year begins. This weekend perhaps? I know that it's short notice but we've been staying in Nice - just the two of us - while Libra deals with things, and I'm sure we'd both appreciate the chance to thank you properly before all the children go back to Hogwarts.
Just let me know if any night before September 1st works for you, we have a floo connection set up at our rented house on the coast. If it's not the best time, perhaps we could meet more informally sometime so that I might express my gratitude.
