He looked at up Sirius, smiling. "We will. I have no doubts about that." They had to endure hexes, deaths, war, but they had come out stronger than ever before.
James shook his head. "No, I don't. They are beautiful, Sirius," he said, almost in a whisper. They were the greatest thing he'd ever seen. "Mum and dad would have loved to see them." His mum would still get to see them, but it was different. "Dad would have been so happy for us." He leaned closer and kissed Sirius, while holding their son against his chest. "I'm not jealous, but you would have had this anyway. You're too special not to have found someone that would have shown you just how much you deserve all of this. I'm just glad that it was me."
