Summary: Sirius and Jamie get married for a third time


They'd gone out to the island before the weekend, on Friday after James finished at the Ministry and it was perfect. Better even than the pictures James had given him on his birthday, and it was hard to believe this was actually his - theirs - and it was perfect. He couldn't have dreamed up a better birthday present, to have James all to himself, without interruption, without even the possibility of interruption, it was what he'd thought about when they were at Hogwarts, when James came back to their rooms too tired to do anything but crawl into bed and sleep. He'd wanted a place they could be alone, and this was it.

And having those days together before they invited everyone else out only made it better. Sirius was glad though they went back on their anniversary, just long enough to cast the spell they'd done a year before and make the wedding they'd had in America official here at home, before they were back at the island.

Throughout the day preparations were made until everything was perfect, better than perfect really, but then he'd married his husband that day so it was going to be hard for anything not to be perfect. He didn't even care that he was a ridiculous sap, not today. And that afternoon when everyone was there, they had an official ceremony, one where everyone could watch them, and enjoy it the way they'd missed out on the first several times they'd been married.

"I love you." He couldn't help kissing James again, leaning in close without a care in the world, knowing he and James were forever.
