James was excited about the party at Eros. He had done enough begging and guilt tripping that he hoped that Remus and Regulus would join them at Eros to celebrate not just the New Year, but also Sirius' birthday. However, there was something that he needed to do before they went anywhere.

He went to their bedroom where Sirius was getting ready. "You look smashing, birthday boy. I'll have to use some wicked magic to keep them away." He got closer and kissed his husband. "I do have something for your birthday." He handed Sirius a box and inside there were a series of pictures. "Happy birthday, baby."

Another year older, and what a year it had been. Sirius thought vaguely back to where he'd been a year ago, what he was doing and just how different his life had been. It was hard to believe to be completely honest that this was his life now, but when James came into the bedroom Sirius grinned and he was selfish enough not to doubt this too much. He wanted James far too much for that.

He turned from where he'd been finishing getting dressed and put his arms around James returning the kiss he got. "Course I do." He chuckled. "After those Christmas presents I'm not sure I really need another present." He smirked, James really did know him better than anyone, Christmas had made that more than apparent. But he took the box James handed him.

He tilted his head considering the pictures, and what they might mean. "You know, if you were going to get me more pictures I wouldn't have minded terribly if they were of you." He told James with a smirk. "You got me an island?" He wondered.

James laughed. "A few naked pictures and you're happy. You're so incredibly easy, Mr. Black." He kissed Sirius again,and then gave him space to look at the picture he had given them.

"I'm sure more pictures of me can be arranged. We can get those kinks in pictures since we never have the patience to do them when we reach the bedroom," he joked, although it wasn't far from the truth.

He nodded. "I got you an island. It's yours to do as you please. It had a Muggle owner, but now, it's got wards, anti-jinx spells, protection spells. We can go when we want, and there's no one but us. We can take the children and have no people, no reporters, no one to bother us. I hope you like it."

Sirius grinned and shrugged, unrepentant, "It's not my fault I have an incredibly attractive husband who was thoughtful enough to get me the perfect gift this Christmas." He reminded James, but he was remarkably easy when it came to James so the sentiment stood.

"Now you're just trying to tempt me into forgetting the party tonight completely, aren't you?" He snickered, but Sirius was looking forward to going out tonight. He liked going out with James, being able to touch him in public just served as a reminder that they belonged to each other and Sirius would never tire of that.

"Wait ... you really got me an island?" The suggestion had been in jest, but then James went and confirmed it, and ... wow. "It's perfect." He said finally as the reality that James had gotten him an island for his birthday sunk in. A place that was just for the two of them, and the children when they came and there would be nothing there but them and he couldn't think of anything better than that. "I love it, really I mean, gods." He shook his head and kissed James.

"Oh, I don't mind easy," he answered, laughing. "I just didn't know that would translate to presents." He had almost felt bad that he hadn't gotten Sirius something expensive for Christmas, but then this present made up for that one.

James shook his head. "You'll have to be patient tonight. You get to fuck me when we come back home. I'd say that you can fuck me there, but I wouldn't trust people not to find a way to take pictures of us." No matter the strict no picture policy at Eros, he was too careful for that.

He nodded. "I got you an island," he said, chuckling. "I thought you'd like it." He nipped Sirius' lip, smiling. "This is why I've been holding off on that wedding invitations. What do you say we get married there? It's in the Bahamas, nice weather all year long, none of this cold, no snow. We can arrange for portkeys for everyone, have catering for the food. What do you think? Care to be nice and warm?"

"Despite your translating issues you managed to do a spectacular job." Sirius assured James. It certainly wasn't a gift that James had spent tons of money on, but it had been perfect none the less.

Sirius sighed dramatically. "You know how good I am with patience." He reminded James. "But I suppose I can try and keep my hands off you just enough that we keep our clothes on while we're out tonight." He didn't mind the pictures that people took when they were going into places, or when James was signing autographs, but he didn't need anyone else getting their hands on naked pictures of his husband.

"'Like it' does not even begin to cover my feelings toward my island." He grinned. And then James suggested getting married there, and really Sirius could not think of a more perfect place. They had checked out places in Dorinta, even picked one that would work - but this? A wedding where it was warm, on his island, where they could stay and kick everyone out at the end of the celebrations? The place they had settled on did not even come close to being that great.

"You ask if I'd like to be warm like you don't all ready know the answer to that question." He chuckled. "We should get married there." He agreed, "I can show off my island and then kick everyone off it at the end of the night." He smirked, pulling James into a lingering kiss.

"I just know you." He stopped and stared at Sirius for a moment and then smiled. "A year. We've been together a year. It feels like yesterday and forever at the same time. I can't even remember life without you. I mean, I had my friends, we went out, picking up girls, family, but--" He pressed his forever against Sirius'. "You changed everything, from the start."

He chuckled. "I know, love, but you can still keep your hands on me. You're even allowed to tease tonight. You can do anything you want, because tonight is your night. We do whatever you like."

James drew his head back and grinned. "I'm glad you do and want to show it off. You can tell everyone just how perfect my presents are."

He grinned. "All right. I might have had invitations ready. We'll send them out tomorrow and then we can stay there for the honeymoon. I already cleared my agenda for that week. We can get there on Friday night after work, come back here on our anniversary on the tenth, do the spell here since you want it done in England so much, and then we can go back and do another one there, with all the family. I am willing to marry you in every country around the world."

"I was just thinking that when you came in." Sirius admitted, when James smiled at him, it was hard to believe and yet there was nothing else for it. He couldn't imagine a life without James, he couldn't imagine how he'd lived without him before, and now he didn't have to. "It's what I do, love." He grinned, glad for this moment of closeness.

He grinned. "You're a brave man giving me permission to tease tonight while we're out." Not that he wouldn't have either way, but that wasn't the point right now.

"Just once, so everyone will know how amazing you are and they can be jealous they don't have their own islands." He chuckled. He could definitely get behind that sort of thing.

He chuckled when James told him he had invitations ready. "That sure of yourself?" He smirked. "That sounds perfect. We should make a thing of it, getting married all over the world." He rather liked the sound of that truth be told. It didn't matter that they'd been married once before, and then gotten married in America and would do it again here in England, Sirius just liked being able to remind James that this was forever, not that either of them needed the reminder.

"What? That I know you?" he asked with a s mile. "It shouldn't be so surprising considering that you know me just as well." The rest of the answer had him laughing. "It is. You're a force of nature, Sirius, and we're all lucky that you arrived our times. The world would have been a much sadder place without you."

James shrugged. "You have permission to do anything. I trust you."

He chuckled. "Just once, until you change your mind, but showing off is always a very good thing. We'll just make sure to have plenty of sun lotion for all of the freckled members of the family."

He grinned. "I know you, remember? Besides, if you didn't like the idea, we could have gone with that restaurant in Dorinta, and if you did, we have everything ready." He looked at Sirius for a moment and then nodded. "That's a great idea. We can celebrate our anniversary by getting married in a different country every year, because there will never be a day when I don't want to marry you, and now, put those pictures away and let's go celebrate a birthday. The showing off can wait another few days."

He chuckled. "No, though you really do know me better than anyone." He grinned. "Just that it's been a year that we've been together now, it'd almost be hard to believe if I could even remember what it was like before." He was such a sap when it came to James. "Well you know I can't stand a world without me in it."

"Until I change my mind." Sirius agreed, but even then Sirius was more than happy to keep the island for just them. "Yes, wouldn't want anyone complaining on our wedding day."

"And I'm easy." Sirius added, getting married on the island was perfect and it was impossible for him to want anything else now that it was an option for them. "I love you, James Potter." He pressed another lingering kiss against James' lips before he let himself be shooed off to put away the pictures and finish getting ready so they could go out for the evening.
