Marlene looked at the Auror that was standing in front of her, white as a sheet, as if she had lost the ability to understand English. "Magdalene McKinnon, that's what she said?" she asked again, like in a trance.
When the Auror nodded, it was like something broke and she could finally think again. Marlene took off her shoes, holding them by their heels, before getting up and running (and she didn't care how undignified for a Head Auror that was) downstairs and all the way to the holding cells.
She barely nodded at the Auror standing guard outside before barging into the room. "Mum? Oh my God, it's you." She practically threw herself to her mother, and again, anyone didn't like it, they could sod off.
