"What's wrong with your family?" he asked, laughing. "What's this fixation with you and dragons? They do understand that it's a job and not a kink, right? Should we provide information about kinks so they know the difference?"
Callum shook his head, grinning as he did so. "You have not, and I might just think that you don't appreciate it and insist on waiting the full six, seven months, whatever it will be."
He squeezed Charlie's hand. "I know you care, but as you said, your family doesn't seem to care about these things much. We really need to find a place to do it before we can decide. The McKinnon estate is pretty nice. We could ask her unless you're rather do it on the property of one of your relatives."
He couldn't imagine not thinking about that one. "It matters to me. I don't get this marriage with the option of divorce. It's like... you're getting married forever, or until you change your mind. That's not a marriage. A marriage is supposed to be forever, and there are rough moments but you work things out and stay together. You don't leave your husband or wife. It's just... it's wrong. Why bother getting married if you can change your mind later? If that's the case, then live with someone."
