RP: Dylan and Dom
Who: Dylan and Dom
Where: Their flat
When: December 2
Summary: Dylan and Dom talk and spend time together

He was late home from work, but still when he entered the flat it was empty. Dom had been training like mad lately and the time they'd spent together had been scarce. Making dinner, Dylan hoped it would calm down after the game.

He looked at the invitations they'd got and put them down on the table, before sitting in front of the telly (some things were good about living in a Muggle neighborhood) with his food. With Dom's training schedule, there was no telling when she'd be home and he was already starving.

Long finished by the time Dom came through the door he looked up and smiled at her. "Hey, how did training go?"

Dom had a feeling they were working her harder than some of the others on the team - partially because she was different, though a large part of her suspected it was simply because she was new and hadn't really played in a few years. But she loved it, she loved being a part of a team again and having a chance to play for real. She had almost forgotten how much she missed this part of the game.

A lot of people thought it was just about game day, the cheering fans and the rush of winning, but Dom loved everything about the game. She loved the long practices, the way her fingers felt sore with cold at the end of the day no matter how many warming charms she used, and that ache in her bones from pushing herself so hard. It was better than anything else, and she knew she'd been a fool for not doing this sooner.

She smiled when she got back, glad at the end of her day Dylan was there waiting for her. "It was good." She said happily, pulling off her shoes and hanging up her coat before going to sit with Dylan, curling up against his side and pressing her cold nose against the side of his neck as she tucked herself in against him. "We're working on some new plays, it's going to be brilliant." She told him.

"How was your day?" The only part about all of this that she disliked was the lack of time she got to spend with Dylan. In some ways it was like the crazy shifts they had been working at the castle, though not nearly as bad as all that.

There was a small part of him that was jealous. Who didn't like that she was gone for this many hours and then came home beaming with happiness. He knew it was silly and ridiculous and wrong, and he was supposed to love that she was happy. He did too. He was insanely proud of her. He just- He was being silly and he should stop it. It wasn't as if he didn't have a job where he had insanely late hours at times.

"Good," he answered, happily moving to accommodate her. "Not too busy, spent the day walking around at Hogwarts without anything happening. There is so much snow now, it's even colder than it was with the Dementors." Wasn't that ironic, they spent as little time together as they had at Hogwarts, and he was still spending his days walking around the place. At least he got to leave when the day was done.

He kissed her. "There is food," he added. "I already ate."

"Not too busy is good." She agreed with a smile closing her eyes for a moment as she leaned against him, just breathing in his scent and soaking in some of his warmth into her extremities. "Believe me I know how cold it is out there." She laughed softly, after all she was flying in it every day and freezing her arse of just as much as Dylan was, though intellectually it was hard to believe that now it was colder than it had been when they were at the castle - at least it was snow now instead of rain though.

"I'll get something in a minute, just going to steal a bit more of your heat to warm myself up first." She told him with a smile in her voice. She had eaten earlier as well, they might have worked them hard, but they fed them as well - and maybe if she wasn't a werewolf, or maybe if they weren't training so hard she wouldn't have been hungry again, but the training with the faster metabolism meant she could definitely eat again.

"Are you going to be able to come on Saturday?" She asked him, lifting her head so she could look at him.

"Of course I'll be there," Dylan said, not able to imagine not being there. "Do you really need to ask?" he laughed, kissing the top of her head. "Not that you'll notice me there, you'll be swamped with new fans trying to get your autograph," he teased, pinching her side. He hoped it was really just a joke and not something that would become too true. Not that it wasn't realistic, he knew how men talked of the hot women in Quidditch.

He wondered how she could not be hungry, but he certainly didn't mind having her cuddling up to him - cold or not. "How is the training?" he asked. "Tell me what you're doing, it can't just be like school."

"I just like to hear you say it." She told him laughing. "Besides you're a big important Auror now who knows if you'll have time for things like Quidditch." She snorted and shook her head, squirming when he pinched her side while teasing her about new fans. "It's my first game, I think I'll have to play in two before we have to start worrying about things like swarms of fans. Besides we all know you'll get much more than an autograph when the match is over." She promised him.

She grinned sitting up a bit, when he asked her about the training. "It's brilliant, better than anything we did at school - there are so many new plays to learn, things most of the team knows all ready but I'm playing catch up of course." She didn't mind though, the team was amazing, they helped her when she needed it but no one treated her like a kid, or like she shouldn't be there. She was just a part of the team and she loved it.

"We're learning this new trick play," She started explaining how it worked using her hands as examples occasionally while she tried to tell him the dynamics of the plays and the way they should work, clearly very excited to be talking about it.

Dylan laughed. "Yes I'm so important they let me walk around Hogwarts," he teased. "Give me a few years and I might be overworked too." It was insane, but he hoped so. He wanted to be where the danger was, working night and day on the dangerous cases, making a real difference. It was what he'd become an Auror to do. He wanted to be the best.

He smiled when she spoke, loving the way her face lit up and her entire body moved. It was definitely a complicated move and had he not known flying as well as he did he would not have understood by just hearing it explained. When she stopped he grinned.

"You're sexy when you're like this, you know that?" he said teasingly, though he meant it. "So tell me about the team, what are they like?" he was deadly curious since he knew them all by name already. It was slightly surreal, even if he had been the one to push her to go for it.

She laughed when he teased and shrugged. "It can't be all danger all the time." She reminded him, or she thought so - it was one thing when they were in the midst of a war. She was looking forward to a break from all of that after all, there were still things to do of course, but it was better in most ways now.

Flushing when Dylan spoke after she'd finished her explanations of the plays they had been working on. "Sexy like what?" She asked him, "When I'm going on and on?" She really doubted that.

"They're great, it was a bit scary meeting them all for the first time, but they're just people like us." She knew the players of course before she'd joined. It was just a bit mental to go in and actually meet these people she had cheered for for so long. She told him about the team, the jokes they told, and the way they all worked together so easily and how they were so eager to bring her into the fold as well. "That's the craziest part, I mean, I never thought I could do this, but I'm here and I'm on the team and it's just - it's brilliant." She needed to work on her vocabulary at some point to find something more to say about it than that.

"Danger? I'm that obvious, am I?" he laughed. "You know I love the job," he said, nuzzling her neck. "That doesn't mean I'm not eager to move up the ladder a bit."

He smiled at her, moving his hands to cup the back of her neck, arms resting on her shoulders. "Yes like that," he said honestly. "You glow when you talk about it." And he wished he could make her glow like that. Perhaps he could, a small voice inside his mind supplied. If Jamie was right and that was what she wanted.

He pushed the thought far away in his mind, not wanting to breach it right now. Dom had said nothing about wanting him to ask her to marry him. Jamie was just being Jamie and joking with him. Not everyone needed to marry.

Instead he just laughed. "Of course they're people, what did you think they were." He got more serious. "I'm so glad you're happy with this, you know that right?"

"Just a bit." She teased him, but nodded. "I know you are." And she respected that - she hardly expected Dylan to be happy running rounds at Hogwarts forever after all.

"I think whatever glow I have has less to do with Quiddith and more with what you said." She admitted, her cheeks were still red, she could feel them warmer than the rest of her body, but she smiled none the less. "It's all just ... it's what I've always wanted, and I'm here and I'm doing it and it's better than I ever imagined it would be. And at the end of the day I'm tired and cold and sore, but it's perfect, really." She was grateful Dylan had pushed her to try out, she'd been putting it off for so long, scared of what might happen - she'd never really let herself think about it as a real possibility before.

"You know what I mean." She said rolling her eyes when Dylan laughed at her. "I mean I've been following them for ages, and I know about their strengths and I've seen them do amazing things on a broom and now I get to spend my days with them." She shrugged, it was just cool.

She tilted her head slightly when Dylan told her that he was happy for her. "Of course I do." She told him. "I figure that's the only reason you let me warm myself up on you at night after all." She laughed.

Now there was something that he knew wasn't true and he shook his head when she spoke. "No. The blush is mine, but the glow? That's you talking about your job. That's all you." He pulled her closer, kissing her. "Should I be jealous?" he teased. "Maybe this new job of yours will steal you away." He winked when he said it.

He stroked her hair, letting his fingers move into her hair. "I get it," he said. "I know what it's like to get your dream. You deserve it, and you'll knock the other team off their brooms on Saturday, I promise."

As he leaned back on the sofa, pulling her with him until she was on top of him he shook his head. "Nope," he laughed. "That's me being entirely selfish. If you heat up on me, I get too feel your naked skin against mine, entirely beneficial for me," he teased.

She went easy when he pulled her closer, leaning into the kiss, a small smile on her face when they parted. She rolled her eyes, "I might love Quidditch, but until they manage to turn it into something that goes to bed with me at night I think you're safe." She teased him teasing right back.

She grinned brightly when Dylan assured her they would win on Saturday. She was so looking forward to the match, to seeing Dylan when it was all over, her father - though perhaps not this woman he was bringing with him - her team. It was going to be a great day.

Laughing when Dylan moved them again, following his lead until she was on top of him, she shook her head. "And here all this time I thought it was me being selfish and stealing your warmth, little did I know you were using me too." She laughed again before ducking her head to kiss his neck. "I guess I don't have to feel so bad about using you in the future then."

Dylan grinned. "I do like to go to bed with you," he answered cheekily. "It doesn't even have to be night," he added with a chuckle.

With a smirk on his face, he let his hand slip up her shirt, feeling bare skin. "Didn't you know? I'm using you for my own pleasure," he teased. "I am the son of a Slytherin after all."

"So I've noticed." She replied with a smirk. "Lucky for you, I'm more than happy to take you to bed with me, even when it's not night - in fact it doesn't even have to really be in bed." She liked that things with Dylan were so easy - they had always been, even when they weren't, it is what had gotten them into trouble in the first place, but since they'd talked about things, hopefully figured them out things were much better than they had been.

She bit her bottom lip when his hand slid up under her shirt, he was warm - part of the reason she liked to cozy up next to him when she got home recently. "I should have known." She laughed shaking her head. "You'd better make sure my family doesn't find out, or you'll be in trouble." She warned him, teasingly.

This was definitely one of his favourite parts of things with Dom. Having her close like this, feeling her skin against his, knowing she was as hot and eager as he was. He didn't need to hold back or play games, they just had sex.

Then she mentioned his family and suddenly it didn't feel easy any longer. He knew what the Weasleys were like and with one joke Jamie's words came back to him with a crash. Weasleys married, and he had no intention of marrying at all. He couldn't help himself from tensing. Was she hinting something? How her family was going to react if they didn't get married? Was she waiting for him to ask? Or think he should have alread?

Seconds came and went before he teased back. Not many, but just a few too many. He smiled. "We'll better make sure they don't find out then." He leaned up, kissing her, hoping that she'd not noticed the hesitation, the slight tension, but also knowing that was nearly impossible. The downside of having a werewolf for a girlfriend was the fact that she could sense almost anything.

They had been teasing, playing while they lay together, Dylan's hands warm against her skin beneath her shirt and she felt him tense beneath her - it was only for a few seconds at most, but it had been there and he'd paused before he continued their teasing. She couldn't help but wonder if there had been something she said that had him reacting like that.

Pulling back slightly after they broke the kiss, Dom ran her fingers through his hair looking down at him. "Are you okay?" She asked, a slight frown pulling at the corners of her mouth. "Is this all right?"

He had been the one to pull her on top of him, and it had been him who had started the teasing, but perhaps she had said something wrong - Dom wasn't sure what had caused the tension but she didn't like it whatever the reason.

Dylan wanted to bang his head. Why couldn't he just fake things? If he answered there would be a discussion and what if she were to say that she wanted to marry? Everything would be ruined. There was nothing to it but to lie - or at least omit some of the truth.

"Of course I am," he said, running his fingers through her hair. Looking into her eyes, he could calm down again, because this was what was important, right? Them, here, together. "How could I be anything but all right with you on top of me?"

He leaned up, kissing her, making sure she could feel how much he cared for her in the kiss. It was so much easier than words anyway. He smirked when he pulled back, grinning. "What can I say, your family is scary," he teased.

She smiled softly when Dylan began to play with her hair, she knew he could be funny about this relationship stuff, but she loved that he was trying for her, and she didn't expect him to be perfect. "I don't even know." She laughed softly, and relaxed into the kiss.

This was why things were going to be okay, for all of Dylan's doubts that he wouldn't be able to do this right, he cared - that much was obvious in the time they spent together, in the way he touched her, in the way he kissed her - and that was the important part. "They can be." She agreed with a laugh. "Luckily a werewolf has your back, so you should be safe."

"How about we don't talk about them?" She suggested, nipping his chin and kissing her way up to his lips again. She could imagine that bringing up family at a time like this was probably not doing anything to help things along.

He hoped that would be the case in the future too, when it was clear that he wasn't asking her to marry him. This, a relationship, he could handle, or at least he thought so, but marriage? The mere idea had him wanting to run in the opposite direction. Why mess with something that was working?

"Not talking about them sounds like a very good idea," he said with a grin. "And it just happens that I have a few good ideas of my own," he added with a smirk, leaning up to kiss her again as his hands moved up along her side.
