"You too mate," Baron said, and meant it. Death was an inevitable part of life on a reserve, but that didn't mean it was easy to accept. Which was why he was glad to see the kid have another chance.
He finished off the glass of firewhiskey in his hand, and gestured at Louis. "Get you a drink?" he offered, out of politeness more than anything else. Plus, Louis was a fellow Keeper, even if he was no longer at the Reserve. And he was one of the few people in this time that Baron could actually tolerate.
