Charlie was glad Callum stepped in and finished up what he'd been trying to explain, telling Baron in not so many words that they were in love and they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. He laid his hand on top of Callum's when he laid his hand on his knee beneath the table, squeezing slightly while they waited for Baron to process what he'd been told and come to some kind of conclusion.
He couldn't help but grin though when Baron assured his father they had his blessing for this. Of anyone they would tell Baron had been the one person Charlie worried over telling - he wasn't sure how Callum's son would take the news of the marriage, even if all they were asking for at this point was his blessing.
"Thank you, Baron, I really can't tell you how much this means to me." Charlie said speaking for himself for just a moment. He wanted this, he wanted to marry Callum, and he knew that wouldn't happen without Baron's blessing. "I'm going to do my very best to make your father happy for the rest of our lives." He assured Baron.
