Callum bit his lip, trying not to laugh. He knew that the comment wasn't directed at Bill even if he had answered. "Why don't we let Bill and Percy deal with the desk job, you can harass the keepers and I'll do the thinking, or at least the talking. How the hell have you managed?" he blurted out after a moment, because Charlie was smart and he knew what needed to be done, but talking about it wasn't really his forte as proven recently. "Are you going to start a war with the other countries over dragon reserves? I wouldn't be surprised."
He shrugged. "Keepers have two families. Their biological one and the other keepers. The joking is reserved to the other keepers, the ones with lots of experience, and it's always limited to a few subjects."
Callum snorted. "But he did, and got him lazy. A year teaching at Hogwarts and he was complaining about the rain and the cold. We'll be getting snow soon. I want to see how much bitching there will be, with no house elves, no posh castle. The guv will have to get used to the life as a keeper."
