Charlie shrugged with a grin. "You say that like it's a bad thing." He chuckled. "We can always switch roles for a while, you can go deal with the desk job and I'll be the one doing the thinking." He offered.
Most of the time Charlie didn't think twice about the differences in the times from where Callum was from to their present situation. Callum fit in at the reserve, and perhaps it was because reserves had changed so little that Charlie rarely had occasion to notice these kinds of things. Though sitting here with Callum and Bill, and the talk he and Callum had the night before were both blatant reminders of just how different things were in some aspects of the world. "Which is why I do most of my joking with my family, or rather they do the joking and I just have to sit back and take it."
"Some people never learn." He grinned shaking his head, though Alastor certainly seemed like the type who would be keeping himself busy with the Ministry in some form or another as long as possible. "I think you'd have more protests from just your kids too, if you decided to up and leave the country." Charlie warned Bill. Their family might still be large by the normal person's standards, but they were getting smaller - and it made Charlie glad that they all lived here, together. So yes, Bill would definitely be hearing something if he tried to leave.
