"I suppose we can try things your way." Charlie chuckled when Callum suggested dying of old age. It had always been Charlie's plan do to that of course, despite the wars they'd lived through - he didn't like to think about people dying before their time. "You always were the slow one." Charlie teased Bill. "Thankfully for you, Callum comes up with some of the best ideas."
Callum was right about the dragons, you went in scared of the dragons and it kept you conscious of just how easily it would be for them to kill you, but not everything required that kind of respect when you were starting out. "Not everyone can be the twins though." Charlie reminded his brother with a smirk, knowing exactly where his mind had gone. "And that kind of thing works for them, but you need to have some kind of fear and respect for those kinds of things before you get to the point where you can joke about them."
He snorted when Callum teased him about loving the dragons more. "You and me both." He assured him. The welfare of the dragons was always something Charlie took into consideration, in any situation after all.
"You see?" He asked Callum, shaking his head when Bill talked about his work at the Ministry, "They're all mental. Happy with desk jobs." He didn't know how Bill was managing it, if any of his siblings should have railed against this kind of career other than him, it should have been Bill - and yet there he was seeming like he loved this new position.
