"Do you really think that I would have brought up marriage if it wasn't something that I was considering? In fact, do you really think that I would have even said the word if I wasn't serious about it?" Callum asked. "I don't go around talking about marriage. I didn't even ask the mother of my child and there were plenty of reasons to ask her, considering the time we lived in."
He shook his head. "Charlie, I don't know why the sudden change or why you think you have to change what you said, but getting married because you want someone to shag around isn't really going to make things better okay? I'll be here as long as you need me. I won't leave you in a lurch, but we don't have to make this into more than it is."
