Re: Callum
It didn't matter how many times they did this, or who came, they were never easy. And this one hit harder than so many others had over the last year - Lily was so young when she had been taken from them, and Hope had not even gotten a chance to live before life had been taken from her. And Charlie still could not believe that Lily had been hurting so much she had thought killing her own daughter was the right thing to do - he hated that she had been forced into this situation, and had not been able to find her way out before she had decided death was the only way to solve things.
He was silent through the funeral, dealing with all of his emotions and thoughts in private while words were spoken over mother and daughter. He hadn't told Callum about today, though it was impossible for him not to know - where the Potters were involved there was no privacy. And yet, he couldn't help but feel glad for his presence even on the fringe of the group that had gathered there in Godric's Hollow.
When the service had finished he made his way to the other man standing beside him quietly for a few minutes. "Thank you for coming." He said finally, not sure where to start.
