"Yes," Charlie agreed. "To make this easier for you I thought another option might be better." They lived on a reserve, and Callum was from a time when men didn't even admit to fucking one another let alone got married, it had seemed that at the time given Callum's reaction to the conversation that another option had been the better way to go.
Charlie dropped his hands when Callum went on, but nodded. This was really the last thing he'd wanted - and while things had apparently been definitive after their last conversation for Callum, Charlie had, perhaps stupidly, held on to hope that this was all some kind of misunderstanding and it could be fixed if he just talked to him.
"Okay." He said finally. "I'll keep things professional, if that's what you want." Merlin knew it'd be hard, but with him still closing up things at the Ministry, and Callum keeping to himself at nights there wouldn't be much more adjusting to be done than what they had all ready done. "You can still come to me for anything you need." He reminded Callum. "Whenever you want, I'll be here."
