Re: James & Lily
James passed her the letter to read and moved to sit on the couch, relaxing back into it with a sigh and scrubbing his hand over his face, removing his glasses to clean them with a muttered spell. He was tired and the last thing he needed was another reason why he couldn't be in his friends' lives.
"I'll send him an owl, explain that it's news to us as well," James said. "I suppose we won't know what's what until Lily Luna says something but... If she does want us to have her. Could you manage it? I mean... Would you want to be looking after two babies in less than a year?" There was also the cost to consider although James wouldn't think about that right now, not when this was the first they'd heard of it. "Merlin, what's her family going to think if Jamie's any indication of the sort of reactions we'll get? They punch hard, Sirius told me."
"I feel bad for the poor girl. Can't be easy knowing you're going to have to give up your kid in the first place," he said with a shake of his head.
