RP: Neville, Albus Potter Who: Neville Longbottom, Albus Potter Where: Hogwarts, Library When: 15 November 2025 Summary: Neville makes good on his promise to Severus to talk to Al about mothers
He was tired, but it was a good sort. Classes had gone well, and for the most part the students had been interested. In addition, the memory of Hannah's letter helped his mood also. Which was good, because if Al was willing to talk, Neville knew he might have to deal with emotions of his own, some of which he still hadn't sorted through. But this wasn't about him, It was about Al. Showering and dressed in fresh robes he made his way to the library, trusting that would be the most likely place to find his nephew.
Making sure to allow his shadows from the candle's to alert the younger man to his arrival, he couldn't help but smile. This seemed very much Al's natural habitat; surrounded by stacks of books and quiet.
"Hey there." For a second the words caught in his throat, but he recovered. "I wanted to see you, but I also wanted to check and see if you wanted to talk about Ginny's return. You can, you know, if you'd like and I can just listen. Or you can tell me it's a private matter and I'll respect that. Or, if you'd prefer we can share experiences, I too had a mother who didnt' know me, both growing up and when she returned, later." It was up to Al to decide. There was no possible way Neville was going to force his thoughts on him.
