"Because spells can be broken and a lot of people who aren't you and me could have that kind of information," he said, with a smile. "Also all former employees would have access too, again creating security risks. I'm sorry, but if you want to be Minister, you'll have to accept that paper cuts are a risk of the job."
Lex sat down. "He said that he's sending you the questions and answers beforehand. They are focusing on the Wizengamot, how quickly and fairly it was named, if it slanted the voting, which of course it was and did, but Jamie said that if they ask anything not on that list, he'll have someone on stand-by with an 'emergency' that requires you to leave early. Good thing he's twenty-one, or I'd worry about my job."
He chuckled. "Well, there is the woman that made you Minister, not that we are acknowledging that the Wizengamot positions were piloted in any way. We also have the Business office to deal with. Zabini has left things in a state, and you know you need a Slytherin there. We're good at the talking to people. Of course, the downside is that we're very good at using situations in our favour, so corruption is an issue. I'm pretty sure that Zabini had some side business, so we need to clean that up too."
