Owl: Neville
Who: Hannah Abbott Longbottom, Neville Longbottom
Where: Longbottom Cottage in Hogsmeade and Hogwarts
When: November 14, 2025
Summary: Hannah sends Neville an owl, as she does every Sunday
Hannah took the day off from the Leaky, which meant she was not going in unless something was on fire or someone was dying. At least, that was what she told her employees although she would go in if there were any problems no matter how minor. While Sammy was down for an afternoon nap, she sat at the kitchen table to write Neville her weekly Sunday owl, which was always longer than the ones she sent in the middle of the week. She wanted him to know how Sammy was doing without trying to make him feel like he was missing things; it was not an easy task. Still, she wanted to remind Neville that he was loved and missed.
Dearest Neville,
How was school this week? The WWW opened yesterday and I had a wonderfully, loud fireworks show which woke Sam up from his nap. He spent the next two hours as a grumpy mess until we got home where it was nice a quiet. Honestly, it's too quiet sometimes, but then I'm used to it being loud.
Sammy's doing wonderful; he's discovered that throwing things make noise which is very amusing. So after he puts something in his mouth he tosses it onto the floor. Spoons seemed to be his favorite. Sam likes looking at your photograph as I tell him stories, but I think he misses your voice. I still have Ben's enchanted music box which would allow us to record something. Would you mind just saying something to him? That way when he sees you photograph, he'll have a voice to go with it.
Of course, we wont need it when the holiday break comes around; I should warn you I've already starting thinking about decorations for the house. Just some basic evergreen and holly trimmings on the walls along with some ribbon and charmed fairy lights...Sorry, I'll stop boring you with all the details and let you be surprised.
We both love and miss you.
Love,
Hannah and Sammy
XOXO
PS. Sam turns 6 months next Sunday, do you think you might be able to come home for lunch or maybe we could come see you? If not, we can just get together when you have a Hogsmeade weekend. That is if you are still having them.
