Percy blinked several times, and rapidly so, at Charlie's question. He had spent the few moments of silence after Charlie had sat down wondering what Charlie could possibly want, and the question the bloke asked was not one of the things Percy had considered.
"I knew I was going to marry her when she told me I was," Percy responded dryly. "Now, if you're wondering when I knew I wanted to marry her, that's a different question. It was in 1997 when I realized she was watching my back during Thickness' reign despite not knowing that I was working on Dumbledore's orders. Of course, seeing her disshevelled hair at the First Battle of Hogwarts confirmed that she was the person I wanted to marry."
He picked up the wine glass and took a long drink before asking, "What's this about? Why the sudden interest in ancient history?"
