"Did you know people in your neighbourhood when you were younger? Or was it mostly children of your parents' friends?" He looked over the crowd, and smiled. "I grew up pretty much like this, playing football in the street, staying at the pub with mum when she had no one else to watch me. I learnt the names of all the people in there. I like talking to people."
He chuckled. "Please never say that around here. Doer-upper or not, the people living here can barely afford the rent on these flats. Rich is a relative term. You don't have to be Malfoy rich to be rich."
Callahan nodded. "It's literally anything that uses a tool to achieve an end. It's a very broad term, people tent to apply it to whatever latest invention there's around." And yes, he had explained it more than once to other wizards and that's why he was semi-coherent about it. Before Hogwarts, technology simply was. "Oh god, yes. I'd love it if we had it at the Ministry, but it's not going to happen. It would require too much change. You can talk to someone across the world, you can receive messages in seconds, you can research things. It's a great thing."
