"I know, but most people aren't used to the strict rules of a reserve. They were complaining about the restrictions but they were nothing compared to a reserve," he pointed out.
"I don't want to go, but I don't see many alternatives. I'm looking for something that could work." He just wished there was something, although he was enough of a realist not to pin his hopes on a mere wish.
Callum nodded. "I'll stay, but in my tent. I'm not sleeping here, either, not until we figure this out, Charlie. I don't have much. In fact, I came here with nothing. I don't have money or clothes, but I have my skill and reputation. That's the only way I'm going to be able to survive in this time without being dependent on someone. I can't give those up or I'll have nothing left. We can try and figure something out, but until then it needs to end."
