Hogwarts had spoiled them, Charlie knew that - they'd had to put up with so much to make the dragon camp work that he hadn't ever stopped to think about the kinds of things that would and would not be allowed on a true reserve. "You do realize we are the only people who would consider life at Hogwarts to be easier than life out here." He shook his head and sighed.
Charlie understood the point Callum was trying to make, and he knew if Callum stayed they wouldn't be able to just act like nothing was going on between them, for all that Charlie offered to end this relationship - he didn't think the application of that offer would go so well. "I don't want you to go." He said finally, because he didn't have a better option, and he didn't have a way to fix this or make it right.
"Give me a little time, okay?" Charlie said, "Give us both some time to think about this and what we can do to solve it without leaving." Charlie wanted there to be another option for this, though as hard as he thought about it he couldn't come up with anything. There was marriage so they could be together, or there was Callum leaving, and honestly Charlie would have preferred some other third option in all of this. He didn't want to get married because he was afraid of losing Callum - that wasn't fair, but he didn't want Callum to leave either.
