"I doubt it, not with my brother in charge of the MLE. He's a pain in the arse in case you hadn't noticed," he answered, although his mind wasn't on the Ministry and what people would do to keep the government running.
Callum snorted. "You still can't even say it." Not that he was much better, but he had an excuse. He had grown up at a time where homosexuality was kept hidden. Charlie had none of those excuses.
"So basically, we have a world where everything has changed, people do what they want, men can get married to each other, but nothing on a reserve has changed." Callum should probably be upset about that, but he wasn't. "In a way it's reassuring that not everything is different."
He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I don't know, Charlie. I've always done what's right, you know? Even when the situation wasn't orthodox, like with Maeve, I did what was right. I made sure she had the baby and raised Baron the best way that I could. Whether we say it or not, this isn't just sex, or we wouldn't be having this discussion. We'd find someone else to fuck and it would be easy. So I'm considering the options, and if it's what we want, then maybe we should do the proper thing. It won't be perfect, but at least it'll be right."
