James smiled. "Sounds like a lovely idea," he agreed. Poor kid might be afraid at first, but if they were going to be a Gryffindor, they'd have to get past that. Not that he wouldn't accept other houses, it just seemed the most likely.
"I know. I just get worried, is all. Sirius was really upset about Severus. I guess they just...didn't see it coming?" It wasn't like he'd told them, he supposed. Then again, it wasn't like there had been much time for talking when the war started. He ran his finger through her hair absently. It seemed like a default option now.
"No, I don't suppose it can. I hope we can get this all sorted. I'd hate for things to go to piss because of all of this." The corners of his mouth twitched up slightly. "Though, I am sure Severus would have been quite amused to hear what a strop he put Sirius in because he knew about the baby first."
