He finished his juice, then set the cup aside. "And now he's back, and he's not my dad, you know? I mean, somebody who turned into him at some point, but when he was this age before, he didn't have Fred. He drank, and hid from the world, and was really a mess. This George won't ever be like that, because Fred's here too."
He propped his chin in his hand, thinking for a moment. "He says he's not my dad, but he's still family. And I kind of like that. I'm going to stay with them over hols. Work in the shop or something, if I can. Do something besides rattle around here anyway..."
