Tonks was doing her utter best to be optimistic about this life, her third chance, and she sure as hell wasn't going to let her mother be anything else. Tonks smiled wide, shaking her head, "No, you can always hope for more. Content -isn't- enough. We'll show you something better, mum. I promise." She leaned over, giving her mother a tight hug around the shoulders if the stately woman would permit. Tonks wasn't nearly so proper as a Black should be, but she made up for it with smiles and warmth.
"I can show you the spells! I'm not very -good- at them but... I get it done." Mostly. Sorta. In a manner of speaking. "And you'll be surprised how good it is to work for something. Feels good at the end of the night. It'll help make the place more your OWN, not just somewhere to live, you know?" Tonks actually looked more excited now than she had been in a while.
