The first few comments from her mother made Tonks' heart ache, a touch of that grief in her pale face but she did her very best to hide it. How could Andromeda know? Still, Tonks remembered the good days. She clearly wished her mother could too.
Tonks frowned a bit more about Stephen but actually remembered to hold her tongue. It did no good to make her mother feel more pain over the mess. "But if you're not happy, Mom, leave. Please. The world isn't the horrible place it once was. We can make things better, make lives for ourselves, you know?"
"And good. We'll head there right after this. It... it might be a bit messy, but we can clean. Air it out. We'll make it livable, I promise." She reassured warmly, trying to put that bright spark of optimism in her blue eyes.
